Project Overview

The Women Action for Food Security and Sovereignty project is Mission Uganda's climate justice intervention implemented in Nwoya District with support from CIVFUND. This community-led intervention project focuses on amplifying the voices of those most impacted by climate change because they have the best solutions to the climate crisis.

The project is specifically implemented in Alero Subcounty in the parishes of Okura and Oyinya, focusing on women's action for food security and sovereignty through climate-resilient agricultural practices, seed banking, and organic farming methods.
