Increasing recognition of Unpaid Care and Domestic Work (UCDW) in public policy while redistributing care responsibilities more equally between men, women, and the state across Northern Uganda.
The We Care Phase V Project addresses one of the most persistent inequalities in our society: the unequal distribution of unpaid care and domestic work. This groundbreaking initiative seeks to transform how communities, governments, and institutions recognize and value the essential but often invisible work that keeps families and communities functioning.
Through strategic advocacy, community mobilization, and policy engagement, We Care Phase V is working to redistribute care responsibilities more equitably between men, women, and the state. This project recognizes that when care work is shared fairly, entire communities prosper, children thrive, and both men and women can pursue their full potential.
