A family strengthening project supporting vulnerable families/households to build their capacity to protect and care for their children through socio-economic empowerment services targeting children, women and youth.
The "My Life My Responsibility" (MLMR) project was a family strengthening initiative implemented by Mission Uganda under the intervention theme focused on supporting vulnerable families and households in the community to build their capacity to protect and care for their children.
This social protection program directly contributed to strengthening the socio-economic empowerment of vulnerable families with services specifically targeting children, women and youth. Using a targeted service approach, the overall focus ensured durable and holistic family empowerment while putting families in a reasonable position to better look after their environment.
The project worked with 250 households that were identified, assessed and enrolled into the project in the sub counties of Odek, Acet Central, and Orapwoyo, covering more than 4 parishes and 30 villages respectively in Omoro District.
Measurable outcomes achieved through our comprehensive youth empowerment approach across Northern Uganda.
